Principal Investigator: Jennifer Albrecht, PhD (jalbrecht@som.umaryland.edu)
CONCISE PROJECT SUMMARY
Purpose: This survey is part of a research study on differences in osteoporosis screening and treatment in the United States. This survey aims to understand how healthcare provider-level factors are associated with osteoporosis screening and treatment among older adults in the US.
Survey Format: Multiple choice and open-ended questions gather information about your understanding and use of osteoporosis screening and treatment.
Duration: The study should take around ~10 minutes to complete
Potential Risks & Benefits: Participation has minimal risks, including loss of privacy or breach of confidentiality. Exposure to this risk is limited on our part by using: 1) a secure, encrypted virtual private network (VPN) connection; and 2) the use of password and dual authentication protected electronic devices (i.e., laptops and cellphones) for the collection, storage, and access of data. Your responses may help further our understanding of the providers' role in reducing osteoporosis screening and treatment disparities in the United States.
Confidentiality: Your responses will be confidential and anonymous. All data collected will be de-identified and presented in aggregate (e.g., the PI's dissertation, peer-review scientific abstracts, and scientific or health/social policy publications).
