Influenza Information Form

This is an inpatient research study that will determine what dosage of this flu virus challenge strain is needed to evaluate future vaccine candidates. It will also use a PCR test for viral detection before and after the flu challenge, and throughout the study. Before the challenge, we will draw blood and take nose swabs and nose washes to understand if having antibodies in the blood or nose can protect you, lead to milder flu illness, and how the body's immune system responds to flu.

We are asking for healthy volunteers, between 18 and 45. We are also asking for 3 outpatient visits, 12 days inpatient over the 3.5 months of this study. If you participate, your compensation will be about $3,410, paid over the 3.5 months, by check.
